How to start fundraising?

How it works?

Once we establish your fundraiser with us we will:

  • Provide you with downloadable material for you to customize to your fundraiser.
  • Discuss with our fundraising specialist what best fits your organization. Once that is done, a fundraising agreement is signed to establish the dates and products for your fundraiser.
  • We will establish a sub domain of your organization within our website that describes your organization and the purpose of your fundraiser (for example http://mms.basspecan.com ).We will also establish an eFundPecan promotional code for your web patrons.
  • We will establish an email campaign for your members to publish/email to their email database encouraging the eFundPecan web fundraising campaign.
  • Clarify any further questions you may have about our fundraising policies.

Run your fundraiser for 2-3 weeks collecting orders and funds from patrons for each item that you pre-sell. Your goal should be to pre-sell 10-25 items per group member. For fundraisers in the fall, we encourage deliveries be made directly to the patron or the patron’s designee. Our pecans and pecan products are a great gift for fall holidays. Also, have your workers encourage patron’s to purchase for the holiday season. Our pecans and pecan products are in HUGE demand in the fall and many of the people you will visit will consider this an excellent gift idea for friends and family. Also, visit local businesses to buy as holiday gifts Once your fundraising campaign is complete, summarize your sales by item and fax and/or mail your summarized order form to Bass Pecan and remit payment for the order. Orders cannot be shipped until payment is received. Once your order is placed and payment received, it takes approximately 2-3 weeks to receive your order.

Finally, if you are delivering the packages, determine a central delivery location for your Bass Pecan order. The product should be delivered or picked up as soon as possible as some of the product may be temperature sensitive.

Q: What is the minimum number of items that we can order?
A: Minimum number of items is 150. The minimum can be reached easily with our ePecanFund.

Q: What is ePecanFund?
A: ePecanFund is where we utilize the our website to help you raise money! Once your fundraiser is established with Bass Pecan, we provide you with a fundraising code for a designated time period. Q: How and when can orders be delivered?
A: Orders can be handled two different ways: you can deliver to the patron OR we can ship directly to the patron. We encourage you to have orders shipped directly to the patron so that the patron will be encouraged to order pecans and pecan products as gifts to their friends and family members living elsewhere. Orders are delivered via UPS Ground and arrive during normal business hours Monday thru Friday. UPS cannot ship to post office boxes so please provide a physical shipping address.

Q: How much do the order-taking flyers cost?
A: The order taking flyers are FREE! You can customize the flyer with your logo. You also want the ePecanFund promotional code and fundraising dates listed on your flyer.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept AMEX, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. You can also send Money Orders via mail. Orders do not get shipped until payment is received.

Fundraising Example and How eFundPecan Works?

Your fundraising group wants to raise money to pay for new playground equipment.Here are the facts:

  • You want to raise $10,000 for the new equipment.
  • You have 25 members ready to go to work for fundraising.
  • Each member in your group has 100 email addresses in their contact list between home and work.
  • Each member believes he or she can sell 25 items each.
  1. You choose which items you want to sell from our menu of 20 top sellers. Choose them all or just choose one. We will format the picture menu for your organization. Provide a logo and we will copy it to the information for you to print out and deliver to your customers or your members to go out and sell.
  2. Bass Pecan will set up an ePecanFund code. For our example, let’s say PLAYGROUND.
  3. Bass Pecan will create an attractive email for your fundraising campaign. Bass Pecan will email the newly created email to the fundraising contact person. This person emails the 25 members dedicated to raise money. Each member emails to all people in their address book the special email created for your fundraising purpose. Instantly, 5,000 people are informed about your fundraiser without hardly lifting a finger. This email will easily link to the Bass Pecan site to place orders. With the ePecanFund code, all sales exclusive of shipping and tax, pays your organization 25%!!
  4. Members go out and take orders, collect payment and remit all orders to Bass Pecan with payment.
  5. Within the agreed-upon time, all of your patrons and customers will be satisfied. That's it. Easy & simple.
