Kanza was bred for durability in a cold climate. Known for its high productivity, this variety produces bountiful harvests of smaller pecans.
The Kanza pecan ripens just in time for your holiday baking needs. The standard for this pecan tree is 74 nuts per pound. It is a round nut that shells easily, and has a magnificent flavor.
The superior cold hardiness of the Kanza allows the northern pecan growing states to experience the taste of these high quality kernels that fill out at 52%.
The Kanza pecan tree has excellent scab resistance, and also exhibits good resistance to other pests and leaf diseases such as powdery mildew. Cross-pollinate with a Type I tree variety such as the Caddo or Pawnee.
More information about planting and growing pecan trees is available from Bass. See below to get the latest edition of our Planting Guide and visit our Blog.

Note: Trees can not be shipped to Arizona, California and Oregon. We prune trees before shipping.
