This seedling was first planted in 1968 by Robert Podsednik in Arlington, Texas. It makes a beautiful addition any southern lawn.
The Podsednik is a prolific tree with large leaflets. The pecans from this tree are the largest known weighing in at a record 23 nuts per pound.
The 53% kernel pecan that the Podsednik produces is of good quality with a light brown color.
Cross pollinate with a Type I tree variety such as the Creek, Desirable, Cape Fear, or Oconee.
