Banana Praline Crumble Cake


Praline mixture:

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Bass Pecan Pieces
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened


  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3 T all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 large overripe bananas, cut into 1 inch slices

Preheat oven to 375. Grease and flour a 9 inch tube or bundt pan. Combine praline mixture ingredients in medium bowl and set aside.

In a large mixer bowl, blend yellow cake mix, 3 T flour, sour cream, eggs and water on medium-high speed for 3 minutes. Slowly stir in bananas with spatula. Do not overmix the bananas.

Spread half of cake mixture in prepared pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of praline mixture over the batter. Pour remaining cake mixture in pan. Sprinkle remaining praline mixture on top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool, remove from pan and enjoy!
