- 1 9” unbaked pie shell
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp. bourbon
- 1/8 tsp. salt
2 cups toasted pecans and 1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans for crust
Press 1/2 cup toasted and finely chopped pecans into your unbaked pie shell. In medium mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter, cocoa, bourbon, and salt until thoroughly blended. Pour mix into crust and top with pecans. Bake on a baking sheet in 350 degree oven on lower rack for 50 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack 1 hour or until completely cool.
